Satya Nadella, the CEO of Microsoft, Announced the hiring of Former OpenAI CEO Sam Altman

Sam Altman's abrupt departure from OpenAI shook the tech world earlier this weekend. Satya Nadella has now announced in a tweet that Sam Altman, Greg Brockman, and other former OpenAI staffers will be joining Microsoft.

"We remain committed to our partnership with OpenAI and have confidence in our product roadmap, our ability to continue to innovate with everything we announced at Microsoft Ignite, and in continuing to support our customers and partners" , Nadella stated in an earlier post on X

"We are excited to get to know Emmett Shear and OAI's new leadership team and collaborate with them." We're also excited to announce that Sam Altman and Greg Brockman, among others, will join Microsoft to lead a new advanced AI research team. "We look forward to moving quickly to provide them with the resources they require for success," Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer said in a statement.

OpenAI announced Sam Altman's departure in a blog post on Saturday, stating that he has been inconsistent in his interactions with the board. In contrast, Altman discussed his abrupt resignation in a post on X. He characterized the incident as a "weird experience" and "reading his own eulogy."
